The L.A. Weekly today has an interesting interview with Giant Drag gal (that makes her sound like a tranny, but she's actually a very cute girl) Annie Hardy. She updates readers on the status of the band, since drummer Micah Calabrese is definitely not in it anymore. She's gonna keep the Giant Drag moniker. Last week she put in two opening slots for the Lemonheads and the Jesus and Mary Chain, who she sang with on "Just Like Honey." (I heard some other girl took that role at Coachella. What was her name again?) For those shows, she used fellow Angelenos the Adored as a backing band, since that group recently dumped their lead singer. But Hardy says that most likely won't be a long-term working relationship. She says she's simply writing a lot of songs that she'll decide exactly what to do with at some point.
