I thought I was the only one, Al. That album got a lot of hype, but I didn't think it was nearly as good as FISHSCALE, PRETTY TONY ALBUM or even the HIDDEN DARTS mixtape he had put out in 07. In my opinion, he was definitely on lyrically, but very few of the beats on BIG DOE grabbed me. |

Noisereuc, Fishscale was a hard album to follow up on... some of the tracks on big doe were tight, but it didn't have the start to finish strength that Fishscale or Supreme had. Your right it was mostly the beats that lost me, as GFK will always be on point lyrically. Also the cover art was terrible (save for big tittied nurse) the rest of it was hurting. Still though, the rant at the end of Walk Around is some good ish. |
