In terms of weird-as-hell auctions of Beatles-related stuff, nothing will (or should) top the recent sale of one of John Lennon's teeth. But when it comes to garnering more scrilla for said items, well, that's certainly not up for debate. Apparently George Harrison's rare Vox UL730 amp and cabinet is expected to fetch upwards of $100,000 at an auction on Dec. 15. But there's a good reason for the high price beyond its novelty. According to Reuters, amps used by members of the Beatles aren't often auctioned off. Not only that, this particularly amp was used during the recording sessions for Revolver and Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Shit, I'd be willing to throw some dough at this myself if I had the means. Revolver's probably my favorite Beatles record. [The Daily Swarm]
