Those Gary Numan-featuring performances from Nine Inch Nails' farewell tour were too awesome to be one-offs, and apparently Trent Reznor and Numan agree; in an interview with Quietus, Numan said he and Reznor plan to work on some songs early next year or late this year.
"Yes. I know he wants to carry on doing music things. We went out a few days after [the L.A. gigs] with a few other people and the way he puts it is 'when the dust settles'-- I think he means his marriage- but I think he's going to be pretty busy for a while, so it’ll either be later this year or early next."
Numan also said that they probably won't collaborate on a full new album, at least at first: "Probably just a few songs to start with and see how it goes on. It'll be cool."
Pretty cool news. Considering both tend to skew towards the industrial, I imagine this stuff is going to be ear-bone crushing and mechanical. [Pitchfork]
