Gang Gang Dance hits the road

Neo-primitivists Gang Gang Dance are hitting the road for an extra-brief tour at the end of October where they'll be testing out material that's scheduled to appear on their follow-up to 2005's God's Money. Word had it, the material is going to be dance oriented, noise related melodically layered chaos. You can be the judge of that for yourself at one of the following dates:

After the tour, the band plans on shutting themselves into a studio in Kentucky and hammering out the album. That's not all these Brooklynites hae on tap though. In January, they'll be releasing a DVD Retina Riddim. It's billed as a "full on visual onslaught" and will feature new Gang Gang Dance material. After the jump, you can watch an exceprt of the DVD.

[...] Last fall, we told you that Gang Gang Dance planned on releasing a new project, Retina Riddim in January 2007. Well, apparently there were some kinks in that plan, because the release of the DVD has now been pushed back to May 22. In case you don’t remember, Retina Riddim is an experimental film made by member Brian DeGraw that’s slated as a ''"full on visual onslaught.''"
