New Yorkers Gang Gang Dance are one of the few U.S. bands to demonstrate a real affinity for various strands of the underground U.K. dance scene. It should come as no surprise to discover that they have signed to Warp Records outside of North America. On October 21 the band is releasing a new album, titled Saint Dymphna, which will appear on their longtime home at the Social Registry in the U.S.

The album features a guest appearance from London grime MC Tinchy Stryder, who is part of the group Ruff Sqwad, and is preceded by a single, “House Jam,” that contains a Hot Chip remix. The band is touring ahead of the release of Saint Dymphna, and is included on a not-to-be-missed bill at Central Park on August 16, where they open for Battles and Black Dice.
