In case you were bored and about to head out for some drugs, Gigwise would like to remind you that in addition to endangering your health and your bank account, drugs can take a huge toll on…your skin and waist line. The gallery, which purports to show the ravages, of drugs, includes pictures of artists like Pete Doherty and Amy Winehouse who have taken legitimate hits in the looks department because of drugs. More often, though, the “effects” of the drug binges (Courtney Love, Britney Spears, Elvis, etc.) are bad skin and bloating. While nobody wants to go around looking pasty and chubby, equating the effects of hard drugs with a steady diet of Ding-Dongs isn’t the best deterrent. The award for biggest head-scratcher, though, has to go to the Kurt Cobain entry, where the singer’s addiction seemingly led to the appearance of gobs of eyeliner around his eyes.
