G 'n R cancel South Africa dates

Via Billboard
In yet another dumbfounding moment in the neverending debacle that is Guns 'n Roses' post-1993 history, Axl and Co. have decided to scrap the beginning of their world tour, which would have begun on April 27th at South Africa's My Coke Fest. The excuse this time? Bassist Tommy Stinson (formerly of The Replacements) sprained his wrist. So why couldn't they just bring in a "Replacement" bassist? If you've heard a single Guns 'n Roses track, you know that any one of their billions of current or former 14-year-old fans could have filled in competently. My guess is that the whole thing is a smoke screen - Axl probably needed a few more days to get his cornrows done right.
