Freddie Gibbs Close To Signing With Jeezy's Label
Apparently Freddie Gibbs' time spent in the wild west of unsigned Internet hype might be coming to an end, says XXL magazine: Gibbs is reportedly near signing with Jeezy's CTE Records, confirming rumors that reported the same months ago. Gibbs makes sense on Jeezy's label--both are gangsta rap traditionalists--but I'm sure labels like Decon (who put out Gibbs' Str8 Killa EP) are bummed. This is still just a rumor, but according to XXL, it's pretty much a done deal. [XXL]
