Franz Ferdinand's music is almost tailor made for iPod commercials--sauntering, quick blasts of choruses, and enough empty space between chorus and verse to toss in advertising slogans. Apple finally got Franz on the hook for an iPod commercial--the latest iPod Touch ad features "No You Girls" from Franz Ferdinand's recently released Tonight album. I'm willing to bet someone at Apple thought, "We should use that "Take Me Out" song," realized it was used in a PSP ad, was told Franz had a new album out, and picked this song. [Stereogum]
