In the strange but true saga of Courtney Love, this incident perhaps has put her legacy at its nadir. The singer is being sued by her attorney, Rhonda Holmes, for defamation of character after the singer wrote in a 2010 tweet, when she wrote: “I was fucking devastated [sic] when Rhonda J Holmes esq of San Diego was bought off. I’ve been hiring and firing lawyers to help me with this.”
To make things stranger, the Hole singer’s former law firm wants to subpoena her daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, to clarify her “Twitter should ban my mother” statement, in light of Love accusing her of having an affair with Dave Grohl.
Love being sued over a Twitter beef is nothing new, but for her daughter to be drawn into the equation makes this bizarre even by her lofty standards.
