Fox partners with Apple for special edition X-Files iPods

Fox is teaming up with Apple to celebrate the release of X-Files: I Want to Believe with two special edition iPods. The 8GB nano and 80GB classic model feature unique graphics from the film, but no video content from the film. In addition, those wanting to look at David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will have to purchase the larger model, as the nano features the duo in silhouette walking across a field.

Interested fans should also prepare themselves to pay more for their loyalty to the show, as the nano is $70 more than a regular model and the special edition classic adds $80 its price tag. While it might seem like a reach to think that fans will put down this kind of money for the X-Files, the show does have freakishly devoted fans. And given that Fox is currently promoting Space Chimps, Meet Dave, and The Rocker on their website, they might be thinking that any cash is good cash. [Gizmodo]
