Look, we don't really cover Maroon 5 at all around these parts. But we can't help reporting on what is a hilarious public back-and-forth between frontman Adam Levine and two Fox News, erm, journalists. Last night, the singer sent out a tweet directed at the network asking them to not play his band's music on the "evil fucking channel ever again."
Within several hours, the hosts of Fox News program Red Eye responded with a slew of comments bashing Maroon 5. First there was Andy Levy, who sent the following: "Dear @AdamLevine, don't make crappy f*cking music ever again. Thank you." He followed that up by tweeting, "Maroon 5's bio strangely fails to note the band was developed by the CIA as part of its enhanced interrogation techniques program."
Next up was Red Eye's other host, Greg Gutfeld, who also didn't mince words about his thoughts on Levine's band. "Dear adam, That's not music." Then, "fun joke: why did Maroon 5 cross the road? because crappy music is legal there! @adamlevine." And so on. Shit's ridiculous and hilarious. It's also just the best way to start your day. I love the Internet. [EW]
