FOX Interested in Ramones Biopic

I Slept with Joey Ramone, a Ramones biopic written by Mickey Leigh, brother of Joey Ramone, has already been optioned by FOX Searchlight (despite it not being released yet), which already has plans to turn the book into a biopic. The Ramones would be one of the first-wave punk bands to get the biopic treatment, and it's unclear what period of the band the film would focus on. The tumultous late-80s through 90s when Johnny and Joey hated each other but barely talked and still played in the band, or the band's early days as a glam band who defined American punk music for a generation? Any thoughts on who should play the Ramones? [ABC News]
