Still carrying the alt rock torch, Dave Grohl and the boys in Foo Fighters are slated to release their sixth studio album, for now going under the moniker Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace, September 25 via RCA. Grohl describes the new work as a mix of "Steely Dan with No Means No." Ace guitarist Kaki King guests on the song "Ballad of the Beaconsfield Miners," which was inspired by trapped Tasmanian miners who requested an iPod full of Foo Fighters tunes to help keep their spirits up during their rescue ordeal. The band is expected to tour around the album's release. Follow on after the jump for the tracklist on Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace.Foo Fighters Let It Rip On Sixth Album (Billboard)
