Folk legend Artie Traum passes away

Folk singer Artie Traum never garnered huge sales or heaps of critical recognition, but he was a vital cog in the Greenwich Village folk scene of the 1960’s, a folk rennaisance that’s not likely to be matched.

Traum passed away Sunday in his Woodstock home from liver failure. He was 65, and is survied by his wife Beverly. Traum formed a group called Children of Paradise with his brother Happy in the mid 60’s and went on to a long and productive solo career that included a string of albums with esteemed peers James Taylor and Pete Seeger.
