L.A. beat god Flying Lotus, whose upcoming fifth album is out October 3 on Warp Records, has just shared the first song off the new material. FlyLo premiered “Moment of Hesitation,” a futuristic jazz track featuring Herbie Hancock and bass virtuoso Thundercat, during a morning (at least in California) radio interview with BBC6’s Gilles Peterson.

“Moment of Hesitation” is one of the 19 tracks that will make up You’re Dead; in addition to Hancock and Thundercat, the album will boast collaborations from Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Angel Deradoorian, Niki Randa, and FlyLo’s rapping alter-ego Captain Murphy. In the interview with Peterson, the producer called You’re Dead “mostly a jazz record.”
