Australian festival promoters Mothership Music, who represent the Fat As Butter festival, bizarrely served Flo Rida a law suit amounting to $55k via Facebook. Flo Rida was slated to play the festival last October, but despite being paid $55k, he did not perform.
Matthew Hourn, a lawyer for the promoter, claimed that after several unsuccessful attempts to contact the rapper, the firm was granted permission by the court to serve Flo Rida on his official Facebook page. Hourn's reasoning for the failed attempts to contact Flo Rida directly: "Our process server tried arranging meetings with his agents and attended appearances in Melbourne - but due to his large entourage and security, we were unable to serve him personally."
