Flight of the Conchords have a flurry of Sub Pop material coming

Two things that are big right now, New Zealand joke-folk duo Flight of the Conchords and Sub Pop dipping into the world of comedy (see next week's Patton Oswalt release), will collide on August 7. That's the date the legendary indie rock label is set to release the Conchords' EP The Distant Future. The EP contains songs the duo have recently been featuring on their HBO show including "Not Crying" and live versions of "Robots" and "The Most Beautiful Girl in the Room." There are also snippets of Jemaine's and Brett's witty stage banter. Sub Pop hopes to have a full-length Flight of the Conchords album out by the end of the year.
