Fleet Foxes' Sophomore Album, 'Helplessness Blues' Due Out On May 3

Here's today's biggest holy shit news story: Helplessness Blues, the sophomore album from Seattle folk-poppers Fleet Foxes, is not only finished, it has a hard release date from Sub Pop. It's due out on May 3. Your checking of Leaks All Day is about to reach annoying levels.

According to Sub Pop, the album was recorded over a year with Phil Ek manning the boards, and you can hear the title track below. It's beautiful, of course.

Definitely looking forward to hearing what the whole album sounds like. Pecknold mentioned Roy Harper as an influence for it, so I'll be curious to see if there's some bigger songs/movements here. This first taste is awfully nice.
