Flea to play bass on Faces reunion tour

Yesterday, it was confirmed that The Faces (Rod Stewart, Ron Wood, Kenney Jones, and Ian McLagan) were recording new material, and had plans to go on a reuinion tour. However, there was a hole in the plan, seeing as original bassist Ronnie Lane died more than a decade ago. Well, the band has a bassist lined for the tour and record--Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Ron Wood confirmed the news yesterday, saying Flea would jon the band on tour and in the studio, and would be a part of the reunited Faces.

A lot of jokes have already been made about whether or not Flea will wear a sock on his dong during a Faces tour, so I'm not going to go there. I'm just wondering if The Faces album will turn into a bloated disaster like the last Chilli Peppers album. [Music Radar via Idolator

That's a weird pairing. Does that mean he'll sing Ronnie Lane's songs?
