A few weeks ago, fellow Prefix writer Andrew Winistorfer revealed that things weren't going very well at Flavor Flav's Chicken restaurant in Clinton, Iowa. In particular, there were reports of shoddy accounting and bounced checks for employees. And the news only gets worst for the chicken joint. Flav apparently pulled the license from restaurant on Saturday for reasons related to mismanagement and, from what I can see, some health issues. He released the following statement:
“I had a licensing agreement with Nick Cimino and that’s all we had. It was his business to run from there and the business was not run right. Let me be straight up with you, I went up inside there on April 2 and I found potato salad that expired on February 28. And it’s then when I realized I can’t do business with this man and I really hope no one ate those potatoes.”
If you happened to visit Flavor Flav's Chicken and loved it so much that this news upsets you -- or you just love wacky music-related happenings -- you will be happy to know he's opening a new restaurant in Las Vegas soon.
