As a part of fall sweeps, NBC brought in a bunch of bands and musicians (like the Flaming Lips, B.B. King, T.I. and the B-52’s) to record ads for their “8 Seconds” campaign to re-imagine the NBC music (the duh, duh, dunh).
In a preview video at EW, Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne walks EW through the reasons for the Lips doing the ads (namely, because it’d be weird), and shows off his awesome double neck guitar that combines a real axe with a Guitar Hero guitar hooked up to a noise modulator.
