It may be a long way off, and the tickets are not exactly recession-friendly, but next year’s New York incarnation of ATP is starting to look very special. The organization has just announced that The Flaming Lips are curating one day of the festival, which means confetti, UFOs, and all kinds of psychedelic mayhem are going to descend on Kutsher's Country Club in Monticello, New York.

A rare Panda Bear solo show also makes the lineup pretty mouthwatering, and he’ll also be appearing with Animal Collective. Other highlights include Suicide performing their first album in its entirety, the Dirty Three performing Ocean Songs, shows by Atlas Sound and Black Dice, and David Cross doing some comedy.
