A new event named the Firefly Music Festival is about to be added to the summer’s busy music festival season. Firefly will take place between July 20-22 at Delaware’s Dover International Speedway, with three-day passes going on sale from this Thursday (April 5) priced at $178 each.
For a newcomer to the festival game, Firefly is thinking big. Among the acts scheduled to appear are the Black Keys, the Killers, Jack White, the Flaming Lips, Death Cab for Cutie and a host of others. That’s an impressive list of names for such a new event--clearly big things are expected out at the Dover International Speedway this summer.
Further down the lineup, artists that can loosely be gathered in the “mid-range indie” bracket feature, so attendees will be able to gaze in awe at the long, flowing locks of Madeline Follin of Cults; witness the site of OK Go feeling naked without their video-based trickery; and check out the band that really put Syracuse on the map—Ra Ra Riot.
