To paraphrase Monty Python, electroclash isn't dead, it's just been resting. One of its prime exponents, Fischerspooner, is getting set for "Between Worlds," their first U.S. tour in five years. Hell, maybe they're not even electroclash anymore, but whatever you want to call them, when the synth-stroking duo hits the road, they don't just come out in their civvies and stand there like statues -- a Fischerspooner show is an event. The band's previous tours have been marked by high drama and dazzling imagery, and the "Between Worlds" dates coming up to support their new album Entertainment are shaping up to be a similarly senses-shattering experience. The shows are said to encompass everything from vaudeville to Japanese Kabuki theater, in addition to the expected beat-happy electro-dance anthems for which Fischerspooner is best known. As the group's Casey Spooner says, "It's not art versus entertainment, it is art and entertainment."
