You may still be recovering from the sonic assault of My Bloody Valentine's triumphant return at this year's All Tomorrow's Parties NY, but time won't stand still. The first bands for next year's ATP NY (Sept. 11-13) have already been announced, and it looks like next year's festivities stand a good chance of equalling their predecessor. Following up on the full-album action of '08 (Tortoise doing Millions Now Living..., etc.), Suicide will be performing their classic first album in its entirety. Rather less epochal, but still cool, Dirty Three will do their Ocean Songs album. Animal Collective will be on hand, and by that time they'll have a brand new album to draw on, and Panda Bear will play his own solo set as well. All this plus Atlas Sound, the return of Anti-Pop Consortium, and the gut-busting gab of David Cross. Let this info soak in as you keep in mind that there's still more to come.

Impressive line-up so far. Can't wait to see who else they can get on board. |

I was just wondering recently if Dirty 3 was still around as a musical entity. Guess this answers my question. |
