Fiona Apple Released After Admitting To Drug Charges

Fiona Apple-fans can breathe easy again. After admitting to possession of hashish and weed found on her tour bus in Texas, the 35-year-old singer was released from Hudspeth County Jail.

TMZ reports that Apple’s 2004 tour bus was stopped at the U.S. Border Patrol Checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas for a routine check. Drug-sniffing dogs found the drugs in a blue backpack, which Apple, according to the Hudspeth County Sherriff’s Office, “freely admitted” to possessing. Earlier today the singer was released on $ 10,000 bond.

Still, her concert tonight in Austin, Texas, has been postponed; the new date will be announced soon.
