Fiona Apple Facing Label Troubles, Again

It's been more than six years since Fiona Apple dropped her third album, Extraordinary Machine. And it's becoming increasingly clear that even she's unaware of when we'll hear its follow-up. According to Grand Land, she told her fans during a recent concert in Los Angeles with longtime producer Jon Brion that they have indeed recorded new material.

But when a member of the audience asked if they could hear some of those tracks, she replied, "I can't remember [how to play] any of my new songs because they've been done for a fucking year." Brion then apparently said, "Not her fault!" Christ. What's the deal, labels? Weren't we supposed to hear this album back in the spring? Shit. [The Daily Swarm]
