Late last year we told you about plans for a new festival in the Denver area to be known as the Mile High Music Festival, complete with conjecture that Bob Dylan, the White Stripes, and Wilco would play the inaugural version of the fest. Well, three strikes and we're out on those predictions. None of those acts will play the fest, but plenty of other talent will descend on Dick's Sporting Goods Park, a mere nine miles outside of downtown Denver, July 19-20. The Roots, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Spoon, Andrew Bird, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, Josh Ritter, and Serena Ryder will all be there. Of course, no festival these days is complete without a jam band contingent, especially on named Mile High, so the Dave Matthews Band, O.A.R., moe., Leftover Salmon, Tea Leaf Green, and more acts of that ilk will be on hand as well. Full line up and ticket info can be found at the fest's website.
