Fest mania: Old and new mix at Pitchfork fest

Chicago is definitely feeling the fest fever today. Hot on the heels of Lollapalooza news comes the first announcement about who will play this year's Pitchfork Music Festival. The fest will invade Chi-Town's Union Park July 18-20. As with last year, Pitchfork is again teaming with All Tomorrow's Parties for a Don't Look Back show. This time around, Public Enemy will revisit its landmark album It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back. As for the brand new hotness, emerging acts like Fleet Foxes, Atlas Sound, Vampire Weekend, No Age, and the Pitchfork-hyped El Guincho will play the fest. So will Spiritualized, M. Ward, Dizzee Rascal, !!!, Animal Collective, Boris, and Obama fan-band Extra Golden. Many more bands will be added to the lineup as the fest gets closer. Tickets go on sale this Wednesday, March 12.
