We usually keep these fest mania posts confined to fests in the United States. God knows there are enough of them! But when news comes across the desk of a festival that will be held not too far into Canada that will feature appearances from some huge music world names, well now, that's news worth sharing, no? The first ever Pemberton Festival, put together by Live Nation and Good Boy Productions, is slated to go down in Pemberton, British Columbia (which is a couple of hours outside of Vancouver) July 25-27. The fest boasts an eclectic roster that includes Jay-Z, Nine Inch Nails, Coldplay, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Interpol, the Flaming Lips, Death Cab for Cutie, Vampire Weekend, and My Morning Jacket. And those acts are only the tip of the iceberg. Also on hand will be MGMT, the Tragically Hip, Serj Tankian, Metric, DJ Shadow & Cut Chemist, Black Mountain, Secret Machines, MSTRKRFT, Mates of State, the Fiery Furnaces, and a whole lot more.
