Fest mania: A New Orleans tradition lives on
New Orleans' musical heritage still shines brightly as the city continues to recover. A big part of the Big Easy's music scene is the city's annual spring Jazz and Heritage Festival. 2008's incarnation will go down April 25-27 and May 1-4 at the fest's usual home, the Fair Grounds Race Course. Slated to appear this year is a diverse roster including Stevie Wonder, the Roots, the Raconteurs, John Prine, Dr. John, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, Randy Newman, Elvis Costello and Allen Toussaint, Keyshia Cole, and Galactic, as well as a bevy of the city's more traditional jazz acts.
