Despite that temporary Vineland setback, fest mania seems to be spreading as feverishly as ever. Case in point: now certain cities aren't just content to have one big festival. San Francisco, already home to the Treasure Island Music Festival, will now also host the Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival. The inaugural fest is scheduled for August 22-24 in Golden Gate Park. Only the fest's three headliners are known for now. Those would be Radiohead, Jack Johnson (gee, where have we heard about those two in relation to a big festvial lately?), and Tom Petty. Festival organizers (which include Superfly Productions, a company that has a hand in putting on Bonnaroo) say they will announce a bevy of additional diverse acts in the coming weeks.
