Feist wins Shortlist Prize

It's Leslie Feist's world; we just live in it. She's going to the Grammys. She's going on more extensive touring. She's getting even more bonkers big than ever, basically. Add to all of this that yesterday (February 4) she picked up the 2007 Shortlist Music Prize for her album The Reminder, beating out the likes of M.I.A., LCD Soundsystem, Arcade Fire, Burial, Justice, Spoon, and others. This makes it two years in a row that a female singer-songwriter has won the award, as Cat Power nagged the 2006 Shortlist Prize for The Greatest. Other past winners that Feist now joins the illustrious company of include Sufjan Stevens, Sigur Ros, and TV on the Radio.
