Before Feist heads out on her international tour next month, she will offer a preview of what ticket-holders can expect on the jaunt with a performance Oct. 8 at Toronto's Glenn Gould Studio. Well, it won't be a proper preview entirely, because this gig will feature her teaming up with a slew of talented guests who probably won't be able to make it out for her tour.
We're talking Wilco's Jeff Tweedy, Grizzly Bear's Ed Droste, the Constantines' Bry Webb, Doug Paisley and many others. They will be performing Feist's upcoming album, Metals, in its entirety. Portions of the concert will be broadcast Nov. 2 as part of Canadian Broadcast Corporation’s 75th anniversary. Here's hoping it finds its way onto YouTube, so everyone else can enjoy it.
You can watch a vignette that features music from album track "Get It Wrong, Get It Right" below. Metals drops Oct. 4.
