FearNet will begin showing up the classic HBO horror anthology Tales from the Crypt on Oct. 5.
Deadline reports that the FearNet will begin airing all 93 episodes of the series in a two-hour block on Fridays at 9pm EST. The cable channel will be airing the censored versions of the show that were created for syndication. However, FearNet’s video-on-demand channel will begin playing the original uncensored versions of the show starting on Oct. 10. Four episodes will be added to FearNet VOD every Wednesday after that.
“Tales from the Crypt was the first time that horror writers, directors and actors came together in one place to produce a TV series to celebrate the genre… it quickly became appointment TV,” said FearNet president and general manager Peter Block. Tales from the Crypt marks the first off-network acquisition for the horror-themed channel.
