Among the thousands of victims of Hurricane Katrina's devastation was music legend Fats Domino. Like many New Orleanians, Domino is still struggling to rebuild his life. So a plethora of his musical brethren are coming to his assistance. They've created, along with the help of people behind iconic Crescent City concert venue Tipitina's, the tribute album Goin' Home, slated for release September 25 on Vanguard Records. Proceeds from the album's sales will not just help Domino, they'll also assist New Orleans school music programs. Paul McCartney, Robert Plant, Tom Petty, Lucinda Williams, Randy Newman, Dr. John, and Bonnie Raitt are more of the artists appearing on the album.
