Fat Joe Getting His Own Sneaker, For Some Reason

For some unknown reason, Fat Joe is getting his own sneaker line (maybe he's got a great connect in a Southeast Asia shoe factory), and the picture is above. I can respect that Joey is doing this for the community -- the shoe line is called "The Recession," retailing for $34.99 a pair at K-Mart -- but seriously, do all rappers need a shoe line? And with shoes that look ugly (all of Kanye's included)? That said, Joe's shoes do look like they have good ankle support, maybe to help his chubby brethren keep from spraining their ankles.
