Fans in Peoria rally for AC/DC concert

Peoria, Illinois may be smack dab in the center of the nation, but AC/DC hasn't found its way there since 1983. While most of the band's hardcore fans probably sucked it up and made the drive for the Chicago show on Halloween, a radio station has rallied those who want to bring Angus and the boys to them. I initially dismissed this as just another radio promotion, but the fan featured at the end of the video is reason enough for AC/DC to add one more date to the tour. This kid can't make it out of Peoria, and seeing the band would probably make his year in January. Judging from the crowd, he clearly represents a significant segment of the band's fanbase in the city. Should AC/DC decide to delay their vacations by a couple of days and somehow hit Peoria, they might find their most devoted stateside audience ever. The downside, of course, is that they have to go to Peoria to find it. [Idolator]

AC/DC will continue to inspire Rockers to carry the torch into the future. One such AC/DC Tribute artist is Don Coleman whose song "Women, Whiskey & Rock'n'Roll" (celebrating the life and spirit of Bon Scott) has been on their website for over 9 months. Don's latest song, which honors the 'would have been Bon's replacement', Buzz Shearman, lead singer from the band Moxy called "Loud, Hard, Fast & Wild", carries on the tradition of hard Rock. Let's hope AC/DC continue to inspire such great creativity. Rock on !!
