The genre-bending roster of Fake Four, Inc. is the latest collection of artists to come together to benefit the recovery in Japan. Rappers, producers, and indie rock acts such as Radical Face, Myka 9, Sole, Factor, Awol One, and more began working on their project several days after the earthquake occurred earlier this month.
They started preparing the effort upon receiving a message from Japanese rapper, and Fake Four affiliate, Kaigen. After telling his friends that he was safe, the rapper urged the indie label to help the people of Japan by creating a compilation of new tracks dedicated to the country and its people. The resulting effort is J-A-P-A-N: A Fake Four, Inc. Japan Relief Benefit EP. It’s a four-track EP of all new material from the aforementioned artists. All of the proceeds will go to Relief International.
