Ex-Bizkit Borland joins Marilyn Manson while Durst focuses on football film

· by

Marilyn Manson has announced that guitarist Wes Borland, late of Limp Bizkit and Black Light Burns, has joined his band. Manson, whose personal quest for evil has had a slightly lower profile of late, is pretty high on his new hire, making the following statement to press assembly in Seoul:

“He used to be in a really terrible band that he left because he felt that it was a destructive force in art, and he has his own band, Black Light Burns, but now he is in Marilyn Manson. We don't know how permanent that is, but starting tomorrow will be the first step. So this will be the most indestructible Marilyn Manson.”

Though one might feel bad for Limp Bizkit leader Fred Durst, his directorial debut, The Longshots is being sold as a “feel good family comedy” and receiving a big promotional push from its distributors. The movie tells the story of Jasmine Plummer, the first girl to play in the Pop Warner football tournament and marks Ice Cube’s latest step away from his roots in N.W.A. The Longshots opens nationwide next week. [Idolator]
