EW Picks Kanye West's 'The College Dropout' As Album Of The Decade

Entertainment Weekly, aka Twilight Weekly, has published its list of the best albums of the decade, and they've gone out on a limb by picking Kanye West's College Dropout as their numero uno. It's a bold pick, but at least it's not something by Lady Gaga or Radiohead.

EW's list also gets mad props for placing three hip-hop albums in their top five, which is something no magazine outside of XXL would do. But Bob Dylan and Dixie Chicks too? OK, gotta please everyone, I guess.

Here's the list:

10 Cat Power - You Are Free (2003)
09 Justin Timberlake - FutureSex/LoveSounds (2006)
08 Beyoncé - I Am... Sasha Fierce (2008)
07 The Arcade Fire - Funeral (2004)
06 The Dixie Chicks - Home (2002)
05 Bob Dylan - Love And Theft (2001)
04 OutKast - Stankonia (2000)
03 Radiohead - Kid A (2000)
02 Jay-Z - The Blueprint (2001)
01 Kanye West - The College Dropout (2004)

The Black Album should defo be there- Blueprint isnt even J's bes album. And I would have prob gone with a different Beyonce album. Love the College Dropout album but not sure its deserving of number one?

Kanye and Jay-Z have been mega influences over hiphop culture through the last decade, but for me I think Stankonia was a more well-rounded body of body than these two albums.

Check this...http://tiny.cc/WrBSH - round up of major player in hiphop over the last decade.
