Evanescence Tops Billboard, Somehow, Ryan Adams Hits Top Ten

This is pretty damn unlikely: Evanescence, the Hot Topic-loved band that is basically just down to singer Amy Lee, and hasn’t even had an an album out since 2006, is now on top of Billboard, as the group’s third album sold 130,000 copies in its first week. Apparently there are three certainties in life: Death, taxes, and 100,000 copies sold of Evanescence albums.

Elsewhere on the charts, Adele came in at number four, selling 109,000 copies, and bringing her yearly total to almost four million copies. Ryan Adams hit the top ten, selling 50,165 copies of his latest album, Ashes & Fire, good for number seven on the charts. [HitsDailyDouble]
