Evan Dando, aka the lead singer of Lemonheads, has sued GM, aka the car company America now owns (when do I get my Hummer?), for allegedly stealing his breakout single, "It's a Shame About Ray." You can watch the ad here, and listen to the original here. They certainly bear more than a passing resemblance.

There's no word on how much Dando is seeking, but I'm betting GM has worse stuff to worry about at this point. A new Lemonheads album, Varshons, is due out on June 23. [Pitchfork]
