Etta James Suffering From Leukemia, Dementia
The Associated Press reports that iconic R&B vocalist Etta James has been undergoing treatment for leukemia and is suffering from dementia. According to the report, the legendary R&B singer – known best for her 1961 single “At Last” – is too ill to care for herself and “cannot sign her name and…needs help with feeding, dressing and hygiene.” Her husband of more than four decades, Artis Mills, is seeking control of her finances.
