And in other Flaming Lips news, frontman Wayne Coyne has revealed that he will go ahead and replace Erykah Badu in the controversial video for "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face." Of course, this all stems from Badu's very public outrage over being filmed naked in a pool of blood and semen, to which Coyne replied to NME that she "knew what she was getting into" when signing on for the video.
He even goes so far to say that her anger is her way of showing affection. "I took it as 'I'm going to show you that the way I love you is that I'm going to scratch your face off and we're going to go for it,'" Coyne said, adding "It's a joy to be with people like her. If it was just me and her I would fight with her all day. It's just a video, y'know. It's a silly thing."
