Erykah Badu fans may be in for quite a ride this year—the singer looks set to release two albums before 2012 shuffles to a close. It’s been two years since New Amerykah Part Two (Return Of The Ankh), and Badu is reportedly plotting its follow-up, along with a full-length record from her Cannabinoids project.
This news comes from an interview Badu conducted with S2S Magazine, where she outlined the Cannabinoids record. “We are about impromptu performing and we are in the studio trying to recreate something we did on the spot and that’s fun,” she said. “Our theme is welcome to the human brain and science of addiction.”
No further details—release dates, track listings, the studio bill for all the weed (allegedly) smoked—are available at present, so don’t hold your breath waiting for these records to be released. However, a preview clip of the Cannabinoids project has been issued, check that out over at FACT. [via S2S]
