via The Register Emusic sells music the right way - without DRM - and are the second biggest music service behind iTunes. With 1.7 million tracks online, they've decided that status is worth a little bit extra, and will be giving out less songs for the price of admission. Prices for monthly plans stay the same, but monthly downloads are cut to 30 songs from 40 for the basic plan, 65 to 50 for the Plus plan, and 75 to 90 for the Premium plan. Prices for yearly plans have been reduced, presumably in the hopes that folks will sign on for extended durations . You can still get an initial allotment of 25 free tracks from a flyer found at your local music festival, or on their website.
Honestly, this is exactly what I've been looking for. I'm pretty much fed up with the restrictions iTunes puts on their shit and $20 is nothing for true music fiends. BTW
Just keep it DRM free!!!
