It might have taken about 11 years, but Eminem's third studio album, The Marshall Mathers LP, has officially received the diamond certification from the RIAA. In other words, it's sold more than 10 million units in the U.S. This news comes nearly two months after The Eminem Show, which dropped in 2002, also went diamond. I'm guessing none of his other records will reach this status for at least a few years. The only one that's close is (shudder) Encore, but it's only pushed about seven million units.
